For guests that do not know who John Holt is, he was the lead singer of the Paragons in the 60's.
But he was also the singer in one of the most prolific Jamaican songs ever made, "Ali Baba", this track is used in so many reincarnations, mostly in the 70's as kill the barber. (Rasta's do not cut their hair and dislike barbers)

I forgot to say that later in 76 he made a song called "Up Park Camp" which is the first I know that has the early dancehall style that was played between 80 and 85.
So he was really an early influencer for that style.

Last bit of posting.

Steve, would it be possible for me to do a guest compilation on your blog some day?

If so, what would be the most interesting thing to compile?

Thanks for your efforts, time and time again...
