Duke Of Labels


Trojan's Duke label ran from 1969 to 1973 & this compilation has the very first issue "I Wish It Would Rain" on DU 001A to the last "Ten Commandments" on DU 165B and I hope many others you may like.

Man, you can read my mind. I was just thinking I'd love to hear more of Duke Reid's early reggae phase. And if you can, I'd love to see a compilation of Lloyd Campbell to match his Fighting Dub. And also Lloyd Charmers stuff too. Thanks for all the great stuff so far.

Thanks Steve, but Anonymous is wrong in believing all these songs released on Duke label in England were produced by Duke Reid.Baby Don't... by Dennis was produced by Lloyd Matador Daley,Fire Corner was produced by Clancy Eccles & The Chosen Few by Derrick Harriott.They were released in Jamaica on labels other than Treasure Isle/Duke Reid.
